The Association of Students Union of University as well as Unions in banking sector, ASSBIFI and NUBIFIE have invaded banks, mostly head offices of Banks for the enforcement of the strike in Lagos

Speaking to journalists President of Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI) Comrade Olusoji Olusola said the enforcement became imperative since the fight for the reversal of electricity tariff hike and increment of salary is for the benefit of all Nigerians.

Likewise, the President of NUBIFIE, Comrade Anthony Abakpa, said they are going to enforce the shut down on all banks to ensure total compliance.

It was revealed that findings showed that though ASSBIFI and NUBIFIE teams have closed down the headquarters of the Banks, their branches, especially along Oba Akran have continue with their works, probably waiting and buying time for the enforcers to reach them. With the time lag would have given them enough time to attend to their customers.
