Business activities grounded as protest gather momentum

Business activities at Ojota, Ogudu Ketu environment paralysed on Thursday as protesters kicked off protest over the bad governance in the country.

Protesters were seen gathered in front of the Gani Fawehinmi freedom park at Ojota singing war song saying “all we are saying end bad governance”.

The protest at Ojota which started early hour of yesterday remains peaceful as security officers like Police, Civil defence and others were surrounding the environment to ensure that protesters are protected.

The protest was organised in such a way that cars and commercial vehicles are allowed to pass beside them without no harassment as they engage in their various daily activity.

Ojota market was closed as well as shops along the Ogudu road, Ojota and Ketu.

A security personnel said the protesters were not given opportunity to engage in any form of protest because of the negative impact of EndSars protest that was hijacked by hoodlums’ midway.

According to them, everybody has a right to protests but government is afraid that criminals will use that opportunity to loot and destroy government and individual properties.
