Another twenty-three young Nigerians successfully completed the one-way intensive training on solar installation and maintenance Saturday in Minna, Niger State.
The training sponsored by Captain Micka Luka was in collaboration with Joedac Supreme Resources Ltd. It involved practical training, installation, sales and maintenance, troubleshooting among several others.
Addressing the graduating students at the award of certificate ceremony, the sponsor of the programme, Capt Micka Luka, urged them not to hoard the knowledge they have acquired for themselves.
Capt Micka, who was represented by Ibrahim Ayuba Jika, noted that as they have been impacted, they should go and impact others.
Using 2 Corinthians 6:10 as the anchor of his message, he said: “No matter your situation, you should be able to impact knowledge to others.
“As you go out into the field, you should be able to impact the knowledge of others. Don’t say because I don’t have money, I will not be able to teach others.
“My concern is the future, the people you will also empower. I am expecting you to feed a family by training others because you are going to have an apprentice under you.”
In his welcome address, the Managing Director/CEO, Joedac Supreme Resources Limited, Engr Joshua Duda JP, said the focus of the training is to eliminate quacks from the solar business.
The Joedac MD tasked the trainees not to “compromise standards” as they go about their business.
“These trainees have been exposed to the secret of solar installation, they have been exposed on how to identify a panel and fake battery.
“Most of them didn’t have any knowledge about solar but I am proud to tell you that we have successfully trained another set of reliable installers,” he said.
Speaking on behalf, of the trainees, Joshua Jika, thanked the sponsor of the training, Capt Micka Luka for the kind gesture. He assured that the trainees will not go and sit down but put all they have learnt into practice.
“Our sponsor has done so much. Ordinarily, we cannot bring out the kind of money needed to undergo this training.
“People he did not even know he brought out money to sponsor them. I can promise that we will put the knowledge into productive use so that our sponsor will be happy,” he said.
