Trading on the floor of Nigerian Exchange NGX on Wednesday sustained declining profile, as losses in the shares of Dangote Cement, Nigerian Breweries, Presco and others pressured the market, forcing it to decline by N107 billion.

This resulting to market capitalisation of listed equities declining  by 0.09 per cent to N125.750 trillion from N125.857 trillion reported the previous day.

The NGX All Share Index also depreciated by 167.58 basis points to 195898.53 points from 196066.11 points.

Volume of trades declined by 63.277 million, representing 8.61 per cent as investors traded 671.273 million shares against 734.550 million traded the previous day. Value of transactions also went down by 5.17 per cent to settle at N26.134 billion in 58792 deals.

The market breath was negative with 40 advancers against 29 decliners , bringing the year to date return lower to 25.89 per cent.

A review of trading activities during the day showed that NGX group led gainers table with 10 per cent to close at N186.45 per unit, Premier Paint followed with a gain of 9.92 per cent to close at N19.40 per unit, Omatek up 8.95 per cent to close at N2.80 per unit, Prestige insurance added 8.39 per cent to close at N1.68 per share, Hamcall increased by 6.67 per cent to close at N4.00 per unit.
