Ebonyi: FG to flag off construction of Ndibe beach

The federal government of Nigeria led by President Bola Tinubu has said it would commence construction of Ndibe beach in Afikpo local Government area.

The beach is one a boundary between Afikpo, Ebonyi state and part of Cross river state.
Travelers from Afikpo cross to the neighbouring communities of Cross river, like Erie, Ugeb,and the rest of them for business through the sea.
But the Honourable Minister of Works who was the immediate Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi during a working visit to the area said that construction work will soon commence at the Ndibe Beach.
Umahi visited the Ndibe beach, Afikpo alongside other staff of the Ministry to carry out the last phase inspection of Ndibe beach bridge for it’s crossing construction.
He Minister assured the people of the area that President Bola Tinubu was committed in ensuring that all the projects embarked by the Renewed Hope Agenda would be completed at record time adding that the Ndibe Beach Crossing is part of the project that would benefit the people of Ebonyi and Cross River State.
Senator Umahi urged the people to continue to support the administration of President Tinubu adding that the President remains committed in the development of the South East especially the road infrastructure in the zone.
He noted that all is now set for the commencement of the project having secured all the necessary approvals and called on the people of the area to ensure the protection of lives and properties of those that would carry out the job in the area.
Meanwhile, the stakeholders of Afikpo who trooped out en mass welcomed the Minister and enumerated some of the importance of the beach as it linked Ebonyi and Cross River states.
