ECN DG Mustapha Abdullahi bags Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from CUSTECH

The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, has honoured the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Engineering (D.Eng., Honoris Causa) at its maiden convocation ceremony of academic excellence.
The honour reinforces Nigeria’s commitment to sustainable development through science, technology, and innovation.
The award is in recognition of Dr. Abdullahi’s outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector and his pioneering work in renewable energy solutions.
The award was presented by the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo in the presence of former Governor Yahaya Bello, the University Chancellor, and the Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu.
Dr. Abdullahi who commended the university management for the accelerated progress been made as young institution in the country was accompanied by directors and other management staff of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, expressed profound appreciation for the honour.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing technology and innovation, particularly in renewable energy, and pledged to strengthen partnerships that support sustainable development across the country.
