We’re committed to As the world celebrates World Food Day 2025, the Global Initiative for Agricultural Reform (Global-Agric) joins the international community in reaffirming its commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, ensuring food security, and driving inclusive development across the globe.
The Global Initiative for Agricultural Reform (Global-Agric) is a non-profit organization committed to driving transformative change in the global agricultural sector.
In his message, the President and Founder of Global-Agric, Musa Hakeem, emphasized the urgent need for renewed global action to transform food systems and guarantee equitable access to safe and nutritious food for all.
“Food is more than nourishment. It is a right, a measure of justice, and the cornerstone of human dignity.
On this World Food Day, we are reminded that the fight against hunger is far from over. Millions still face food insecurity, even as we possess the knowledge and technology to change the story,” he stated.
He further called for increased investment in agricultural reforms, youth and women empowerment, and climate-smart innovations, noting that these are critical to building resilience and ensuring that no one is left behind.
“Agricultural transformation begins with bold policies, inclusive partnerships, and a collective resolve to make food systems work for everyone.
The time to act is now,” he added.
Global-Agric continues to advocate for strategic collaboration among governments, development partners, private sector actors, and local communities to drive meaningful reforms and create lasting impact across the agricultural value chain.
As the world reflects on this year’s theme, Global-Agric calls on all stakeholders to stand united in advancing reforms that guarantee a sustainable, fair, and food-secure future for all.
