You have changed the face of women ministry in the state to envious height, before now, the ministry of women affairs of Kogi state was only existing on paper without necessarily been felt by the citizens of the state. Kogi women have experiences cases abuse, children rights violation and lack of care for the less privileged.
When Fatimah was appointed the Commissioner for the ministry, many thought it was going to be a business as usual, but those of us who knew her know that it’s not going to be so.
On International commemorative days that something to do with her ministry, you will see Fatimah championing the course of Kogi women and less privileges. She has been their voices at every given time.
At an event organised by by the office of the First Lady of Kogi state, Her Excellency, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Ododo, to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Fatimah position was very clear on how women can be protected. Her Excellency, Hajia Sefinat commended her efforts in promoting the course of women in her ministry.
According to stakeholders such as Civil Society Organizations, women group, faith-based groups, security agencies, male champions, and concerned citizens, who gathered in Lokoja to raise awareness about the alarming realities of violence against women, they said 140 women killed daily worldwide and one in four girls experiencing sexual violence before adolescence, they commended the way the Honourable Commissioner is attending to them which Kogi is among us states that have the lowest cases in the country.
The Honourable Commissioner for women’s Affairs and social development, Hajia Fatimah Momoh has also extended love and support to orphanages and children with special needs in commemoration of the yuletide season, where he donated some relieved materials to them.

The Honourable Commissioner is an asset in Ododo led-administration.
