Lukman Saki commends Gov Ododo’s giant stride in education
Educationist Lukman Saki has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his giant stride in the education sector in the past one year.
Saki who is a lecturer in the Federal College of Education, Okene praised the steps taken so far by the administration of Governor Ododo to revive the basic and secondary education in the state.
According to him, apart from the regular payment of salaries of teachers that have also put teachers in the minimum wage, which has increased the moral of teachers, consequently, it has also increased the enrollment of children in the school due to the quality of teaching from the happy teachers.
He noted other efforts put in place by the administration to address various challenges hindering progress of education such as the renovation of schools and provision of writing materials for students and pupils through the State Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB).
These, he said has been commended by various stakeholders in education sector in the state.
He noted the quality of appointments he made in the sector from the Commissioner for education, Chairman, SUBEB and to the Special Assistant to the Governor on education are top notch people in policy making.
Saki seeks the Governors support in assisting the growth of the education foundation, which are founded by an individual to help our children to get quality education.
He noted that indigent pupils have been removed from the street of their host community and its environs for studies.
He said, at their own level as an academician, they will do everything possible to support his government to succeed.
Kogi State youth are quiet appreciative at the style of governance of His Excellency governor Alhaji Usman Ododo. We, therefore, seek Allah’s guidance and protections to take the State to a greater height. Amin.
