NBSA urges urgent blood donation for victims of Keffi-Kugbo explosion

The National Blood Service Agency NBSA has is appealing to Nigerians, particularly residents of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, to donate blood to support victims of the tragic explosion that occurred on the Keffi-Kugbo road.

The devastating incident, which took place on Wednesday19 march, has resulted in multiple casualties, with many victims in critical condition requiring immediate blood transfusions.
In a statement, the NBSA emphasized the need for an adequate blood supply to aid hospitals and emergency response teams working tirelessly to save lives.
The agency is calling on all eligible donors to visit designated blood donation centers and hospitals across the FCT to contribute to this life-saving effort.
The NBSA has directed donors to visit its headquarters at 39 Abidjan Street, Zone Wuse, Abuja, or contact the agency via 07088370905 for further inquiries and details on the nearest donation centers.
The agency reaffirmed that blood donation is a critical component of emergency medical response and encouraged voluntary donors to take swift action in supporting the victims.
