NDIC bags CRMI risk advocacy award, commits to safer financial system

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), has bagged the Chartered Risk Management Institute (CRMI) ‘Institutional Leadership in Risk Advocacy’ award.
The corporation in its official X handle on Tuesday quoted the institute as saying that the NDIC clinched the award for its commitment to promoting sound risk management practices in the country’s financial system.
According to NDIC, CRMI said that the agency had exhibited sound risk management practices through its proactive supervision, robust enterprise risk frameworks and consistent advocacy.
“NDIC continues to demonstrate leadership in safeguarding depositors’ funds and enhancing financial system stability,’ CRMI said.
NDIC further said that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Thompson Sunday, commended the institute for the honour.
The corporation said its Director, Enterprise Risk Management Department, Mrs Amal who represented Sunday, reaffirmed NDIC’s commitment to advancing risk culture.
The CEO also assured that the NDIC was committed to contributing to a safer and more sustainable financial sector in the country.
