Ododo flags off distribution of fertilizers to farmers

Kogi state Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has commenced the distribution of fertilizers to farmers across the 21 Local Government Arrears of the state. 

He noted that the food security is important to his administration, as Kogi state is capable of feeding the nation with its large arable land.

The Governor warned against the diversion and politicization of the distribution of fertilizers to farmers in the state.

According to the Governor, priority would be given to more cultivated areas, as he orders allocation of 50 per cent of the fartilizers to Bassa and Ibaji Local Government Areas of the state to boost the production of agric produce in the state.

He noted, the effort would help to bring down the prices of food items in the market at the end of this farming season.

He charged the farmers to make the judicious use of the fertilizers as it’s given to them for free.
