Tinubu appoints Danfulani as NAIC’s Managing Director/CEO

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Yazid Shehu Danfulani as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC).

The president’s letter which was signed by the Secretary to the Government of Federation, Senator George Akume equally appointed Mr Abubakar Umar Jarengo as Executive Director Operations, while Mr. Babafemi Ayandayo Rasheed takes charge as Executive Director of Admin and Finance.
According to the letter, the appointment takes effect from 21st of May, 2025, for an initial term of four years, in accordance with section 15 (a) of NAIC Act law 2004.
Danfulani, the Turakin Zamfara is a season administrator and Banker, he holds Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Arts and Management from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. He has held notable position at the Central Bank of (CBN) and previously served as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Zamfara State.
The team is expected to bring new vigor and strategic direction to NAIC, a critical institution responsible for providing insurance to Nigeria’s agricultural sector against risks such as drought, pests, diseases and other disasters.
In a message signed by the Deputy General Manager Affairs, Magdalene Omosimua, the Management and entire staff of the Corporation congratulates and wish them a successful working tenure.
