United Nigeria Airlines makes historic inaugural flight to Katsina

Nigerian carrier, United Nigeria Airlines on Monday made its historic inaugural flight into the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua airport in Katsina in what the airline management described as a stepping stone to its domestic network expansion.
The aircraft had departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport in Abuja with top ranking politicians, former governors of Katsina state and businessmen and landed successfully at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport where it was received by the state Governor Dikko Umar Radda, state officials, traditional rulers, APC leaders, and the Igbo community in the state.

The state Governor expressed confidence that the coming of the airline into the state will spur its economy and draw businesses from across Nigeria into its agricultural sector, adding that businesses will be streamline and fasten with flight into the state aboard United Nigeria Airlines flights.
Founder of the airline, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, who was on board the plane was full of optimism just as he affirmed that United Nigeria Airlines is gradually fulfilling its dream and vision of connecting Nigerian cities in order to uplift the economy of the states across Nigeria.
Prominent personalities aboard the historic flight include the airline’s Founder, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje); former Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari; APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru; Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter and the party National Vice Chairman (North West) Garba Datti Muhammad.
Others include the National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muazu Bawa Rijau, National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Sulieman M. Argungu, Deputy National Financial Secretary, Hamma’adama
Ali Kumo and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diro Meseko.
The rest are the former Minority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Onyebuchi Offor and Director of Administration, United Nigeria Airlines, Linus Awute among other dignitaries.
