29 graduate from O’Delight Kiddies Academy with call to lifelong learning

For the 29 graduating pupils of O’Delight Kiddies Academy, Abuja, Saturday’s colourful graduation ceremony was more than a celebration of academic achievement—it was a reminder that education is a continuous journey demanding resilience, discipline, and dedication.
The academy celebrated 29 pupils, comprising 15 Primary Five students advancing to secondary school and 14 Nursery Two pupils stepping into primary education. Parents, teachers, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the children’s progress and the values of excellence instilled by the school.
The Proprietress, Mrs. Eunice Uzodimma Dike, described graduation as a stepping stone rather than a destination, urging pupils to stay focused.
“Education is endless. Graduation is not the end but a continuous process. Every child should remain focused and continue putting in their best as they move to the next stage of learning,” she said.
Dike also highlighted the pivotal role of family support, emphasizing that children thrive when nurtured at home.
“I urge parents to continue showing love to their children and provide everything they need for their education because the support they receive at home reflects in their behaviour and academic performance,” she noted.
Beyond the celebration, the proprietress appealed to the government to rehabilitate the poor access road leading to the school to ensure safer and easier commutes for pupils and staff.
Reflecting on the milestone, the Headmistress and Primary Five teacher, Mrs. Ifunaya Arinze, expressed gratitude for the pupils’ safe completion of their five-year foundational education.
“We are grateful to God for seeing them through. Today is a celebration of their achievements and the beginning of greater accomplishments ahead,” she remarked, encouraging the graduates to remain hardworking and confident in the strong foundation laid for them.
Parents also attested to the institution’s impact. Ambassador Abdulrazak Shuaibu, FCT Commandant of Citizens for Peace and Conflict Resolution of Nigeria, praised the school for blending academic rigor with moral upbringing.
“My children passed through this school and they are doing very well. The quality of education and discipline here is commendable. What the school produces is exceptional,” he said, while urging corporate organizations to support the academy through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Omoside Omodara Simi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their patience and guidance. She affirmed that the academy equipped them with knowledge, confidence, and character, pledging that the class of 2026 would remain worthy ambassadors.
As caps were tossed into the air amid applause, the event served as a testament to the transformative power of education, marking a bright start to a new chapter for the 29 young graduates.
