Contractors to commence construction of CUSTECH staff quarters soon, says VC
The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, has announced that contractors will soon be mobilised to site for the construction of staff quarters as part of the University’s commitment to improving staff welfare.
The Vice-Chancellor, who is also the Chairman of Congregation, made this known during the 5th Meeting of Congregation held at the Large Lecture Theatre (LLT), Take-Off Site, on Monday.
Addressing members of the Congregation, Prof. Salawu expressed appreciation to staff for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and sacrifices towards the growth and development of the University. He noted that the remarkable progress recorded by CUSTECH since its establishment has been made possible through the collective efforts of its workforce.
The Vice-Chancellor urged staff to remain steadfast in upholding the University’s core values of excellence, integrity, innovation, and the training of highly skilled graduates capable of competing globally.
He further assured staff that the welfare of the staff members of the University, remains a top priority of the University Management, stressing that every necessary step would be taken to create an enabling environment that promotes productivity and enhances the well-being of staff.
“Whatever is required to improve staff welfare and enable them to perform optimally, the Management will not hesitate to do,” he assured.
During the meeting, members of Congregation congratulated and applauded academic staff members, who recently earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, describing the achievement as one that would further strengthen teaching, research, and academic excellence at the University.
Prof. Salawu also expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering support and commitment to the development of CUSTECH. He noted that the Governor’s interventions continue to accelerate infrastructural development and position the University for greater achievements.
