President Bola Tinubu has pulled the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) out of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

This, he said, would allow Nyesom Wike-led FCTA to use the territory’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the development of the nation’s capital.

Upon assuming office in 2015, Buhari’s led Federal Government mop up all funds belonging to MDA’s and FCTA into one coffer, through the implementation of Treasury Single Account, this he said would help to reduce corruption in the system.

On Friday, the President also approved the creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission.

He said it would allow the progression of staff of the FCT Administration.

Civil servants in the territory have over the years complained of the effect the absence of the Commission was having on their career progression.
