Alhaji Mohammed Bashir Abdulsalam has extended warm congratulations to the Special Adviser on Security to the Kogi State Governor, Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (rtd), on the occasion of his birthday, praising his leadership and impact on the state’s security architecture over the past year.
In a birthday tribute released to celebrate the retired military officer, Bashir commended Omodara’s devotion to human safety and community development across Kogi State.
“This is to wish you God’s continuous benevolence on this auspicious occasion of your birthday, sir. May He be relentless in ensuring the continued prosperity, good health, and peace of your household, dependants, and community as a whole,” Bashir stated.
Reflecting on Omodara’s achievements in office, Bashir highlighted that his influence has yielded measurable improvements in peace and stability throughout the state.
“The impact of your being, in the last one year, is not only memorable and remarkable in record, it was a consolidation of an inherent and ordained positive influence on humanity,” he noted. “The name, Commander Jerry Omodara, has become synonymous with human safety and security of valuables, a fact being attested to by the government and people of Kogi State.”
He further observed that Omodara’s strategic approach has transformed security operations within the region, turning complex tactical challenges into manageable tasks.
“You have organized and made surmounting insecurity seamless in the state to the extent that the task is now being seen as an easy task,” Bashir said. “For these reasons, and in order for humanity to keep enjoying your relentless impact, the Almighty God shall remain resolute in providing for you and your family, just as He has been using you to defend, guard, protect, safeguard, guide, shield, and even ward off threats in our communities, the state, and the country at large.”
Beyond his official capacity as the governor’s security advisor, Bashir highlighted Omodara’s philanthropic initiatives and community outreach programs as crucial factors in restoring public trust in governance.
“Outside your professional calling, your remarkable investments in community partnership and helping individuals, people, and families out of doldrums, and assisting with basic psychological and structural necessities, have created in Kogi State an air of belief in relying on and attracting or accessing governmental attention at critical times of need,” Bashir remarked.
Closing his tribute, Bashir acknowledged Omodara’s ongoing efforts in crime prevention, intelligence, and tactical operations.
“Indeed, you added another year of protecting Kogi with measurable indices, guarding the future against espionage or sabotage, preventing and tackling crime with dexterity, foiling attacks with precision, and even making freedom attainable for victims where it was almost practically impossible,” he added.
“Hence, as you are distanced away from danger, distress, imperilment, troubles, and all forms of jeopardy in the next one year, Insha Allah, my family and I are saying Happy Birthday and many, many more returns to you and your family by God’s Special Grace, sir.”
