The Nigeria Immigration Service hosted a delegation from the German Federal Police, led by Mr. Neils Zimmermann, Head of Department 42, German Federal Police, at the Service Headquarters, Sauka, Abuja.

The visit also featured the formal handover of operational vehicles to the Service, underscoring the growing partnership between both institutions.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, KN Nandap, welcomed the delegation and described the partnership as a testament to the strong bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Germany.

She commended German Government for the kind gesture and noted that the donated operational vehicles would significantly enhance the Service’s operational mobility and effectiveness in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.

In his remarks, Mr. Neils Zimmermann, reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Immigration Service in strengthening institutional capacity and promoting effective Migration Management. He expressed confidence that the collaboration would continue to yield mutual benefits in addressing transnational migration challenges.

The donation of the operational vehicles underscores the enduring partnership between the Nigeria Immigration Service and the German Federal Police, reflecting their shared commitment to strengthening Border Security, enhancing operational capacity, and promoting safe, orderly, and regular migration.
